More October Break

After Navuoo, we went back the Minneapolis with the Chryslers and had a great time. We went to a pumpkin farm, did a corn maze and found some wooden cows! We also went the the Mall of America and went on a ton of rides!!
Back in Navuoo we learned how to make rope, Maya is helping with the final part.

Max had to crank the big wheel to make the rope. He loved making it go as fast as he could.

Madi had a turn too!

We went to the brickmakers shop and learned how they made bricks in Navuoo. It was an amazing time and we learned so much.

October Break

During the kids October Break from school we went to Navuoo with Bryant's parents and Gina, Derek and their kids. It was amazing to see some many different places. Here we are at Carthage. Loved the feeling and spirit that were there.
Rockwood and Chrysler cousins! They were amazed at how small the covered wagons were and would have hated traveling that way. They prefer airplanes and air conditiioned cars!

At a well
They loved throwing and skipping rocks into the mighty mississippi!

The Navuoo Temple was beautiful. There is a statue of Joseph and Hyrum near the temple. Being there helped increase our love and amazement of Joseph and Hyrum and their families.

Max's Birthday

Max turned 8 on Oct 2nd and wanted a party at Bounce U.
It turned out to be a blast! So easy on my part - no clean up no planning just show up with a cake and they do the rest. They even have people to play with the kids and make sure that everyone is involved.

They went on slides, played baskethall

Maya loved the slides!!

Had a cool foam ball blaster guns and had a war back in forth. Now all of the kids want to have their birthday paties there!
We are so glad that Max is in our family and that he turned eight!!

More New York Pictures

The kids on Merry go round - my kids have never seen one of the at a park and had a GREAT time and loved being pushed by the older ones!!
Max relaxing be for the boat really started going fast! He loved every minute of it!!

Glen slidding - the kids got to play in some cold water and loved sliding down part of the rocks!

Madi caught a crawdad and loved it.

This summer the Sherwood family had the bi annual family reunion and it was in Palmyra New York. We were all able to go home and see where we grew up! We had a ton a fun with 36 cousins and lots of aunts and uncles. My parents are there right now working in the Palmyra Temple so we were able to see them. The best was being together as a family. We went to the lake one day, visited all of the sites one day, did the Sherwood Amazing Race one day and just enjoyed our selves - but not the humidity.
My kids even got to see the house where I grew up and the walk we had to make each day home from the bus to get to our home 1/4 of a mile.

First Day of School

Maya - Kindergarten, Max - 2nd Grade and Madi - 4th Graders
Getting on the bus for the first time. So excited that there was no wave goodbye, hug or anything! She had a great time.

Max - the big Second Grader. His teacher is Mrs Clevenger. Madi had her and we could not be more excited for him.

Maya - the Kindergarter. I can't believe that she will be in school all day long. I have actually spent the most time with her all alone. Her teacher is Mrs. Ctibor and she is the best. Max had her when he was in Kindergarten. Maya loves to sing all the time and hopefully she won't drive her teacher crazy!

Madi - the big 4th Grader. Her teacher is Mrs Nicol's. We don't know much about her but I am sure that Madi will do great. This year - she gets to start Orchestra and can't wait to play the violin.
I can't believe how big our kids are getting! They are the best kids that I could have ever dreamed of and love watching grow and learn!

Last Day of Swimming

Max and Matt - trending water in deep end
Tacy and Madi - hanging out together!

Madi's dive

Maya's Dive

Max's jumping dive!
After spending every afternoon at the pool, our summer time pool time sadly ended on July 31st. It is always a sad day for us. We don't know what to do without going swimming when it is still hot!
This year - all 3 kids did Swimteam. Maya won our most improved award and loves Swimteam now and can't wait for next year! We spent most of the time with the Rapiers and really enjoyed it!
My kids already want to know when the pool is going to open again! May is a long ways away!
